Lipsticks in Real Redhead, French Twist and Reel Sexy ($19 CAD for 3g)
French Twist is a pinky beige with a cream finish. It's the perfect beige for medium skin tones! It doesn't wash me out and doesn't settle too much into the fine lines so it looks really good on me.
Real Redhead is a peachy nude. It's a sheer color but so easy to wear, I know that I will use this lipstick very often.
Reel Sexy is a bright coral orange with a cream finish. This shade is perfect for summer and I love it!
French Twist and Real Redhead lasted 3 hours on me, which is quite good for nude shades, but they dry out my lips a little bit. Reel Sexy lasted 5 hours on me and felt great on the lips.
These 3 shades are limited edition.
French Twist :
MAC Pure Zen is slightly lighter and less peachy. MAC Peachstock is more opaque, lighter and slightly more peachy. Illamasqua Rosepout is much more pink. MAC Real Redhead is darker and has a slight red undertone.
Real Redhead :
MAC Angel is much more cool toned and mauvey. Make Up For Ever N4 is slightly darker and a tad more mauve. MAC Hug Me is darker. MAC Kinda Sexy is more opaque and a bit less warm toned.
Reel Sexy :
MAC Sushi Kiss is more orangey. Dose of Colors Sorbet is similar but a tad darker and slightly less bright. MAC Cut A Caper is more pink, less opaque and more glossy. MAC Vegas Volt is much darker.
Beauty Powders in Pearl Blossom and Alpha Girl ($31 CAD for 10g)
Pearl Blossom is a lot more cool toned than I expected, it's supposed to be a light pink with a silver sheen, but on me it looks like a light pink with lavender undertones. I usually don't wear very cool toned makeup but this highlighter is very unique and doesn't look chalky on me even when I'm tan!
Alpha Girl is a coral peachy pink. It has tiny gold shimmers but it looks almost matte on the cheeks. If you are looking for a luminizer, this isn't it. However, it will be a gorgeous blush for light to medium skin tones. I would pass if your skin is darker than that because its finish is quite powdery and can look chalky. It looks best if you apply it on moisturized skin or if you set your makeup with a setting spray such as Skindinavia, it helps to remove that powdery finish.
Both shades are limited edition.
MAC Lovecloud is not similar at all, much more pink and cool toned. MAC Ripe Peach is darker and more shimmery. Hourglass Dim Infusion is lighter and more matte. Illamasqua Lover is darker and more orangey. MAC Peaches is darker and slightly more red.
MAC Blonde is darker and a warmer pink. MUFE Sculpting Duo in #1 is lighter and less pink, more frosty. MAC Play It Proper is lighter, less pink and less frosty. Bobbi Brown Pink Quartz is much darker, a pinky beige shade and more frosty. MAC Pearl Sunshine is much more warm, it's a peachy pink.
Fluidlines in Looking Good and Deliciously Rich ($19 CAD for 3g)
Looking Good is a dark burgundy with a black base. The finish is shimmery but not very sparkly. This color needs 2 coats because it's a bit too sheer, but you don't want to apply a super thick layer either because it can flake off. I'm a bit disappointed by its formula, but I still think it's a beautiful color even if it's not the easiest eyeliner to work with.
Deliciously Rich is a medium brown with gold glitters. It's a very sparkly color, so pretty! It looks great all over the lid, but it's not the easiest product to blend (well, it's an eyeliner after all!). As an eyeliner, this is very pretty but I prefer a darker shade to really define the eyes. The product itself is great : it doesn't flake, smudge or crease, and most of the glitters stays in place all day.
Deliciously Rich will be part of the permanent range but Looking Good is limited edition.
