Crush is a reddish coral with a semi-matte finish. I would say that it's slightly less matte than MAC Matte lipsticks, and definitely not glossy like the shade Moscato. This shade is highly pigmented and I found that the applicator didn't work great with this color, because the texture is thicker and it just apply too much product. I prefer to dab it on the center of my lips and then spread it and define the edges with a lip brush.
When I received this lipstick in the mail, it was frozen and I couldn't even open it. I think it affected the consistency because this shade is less creamy than Moscato and more matte. I like the matte finish but Moscato was easier to apply. The Cashmere Lip Creams doesn't have a pleasant smell but it's not that bad anyway.
The staying power is great and it last more than 5 hours on my lips without feathering and it never look cakey. That's what I like about these Cashmere Lip Creams, they don't bleed around the lips like some of the others Bite Beauty lipsticks. It will come off if you eat something though, even if this shade leaves a stain on the lips, and it will transfer on everything. So if you are looking for a longwearing lipstick, this is great, but not if you want something that will not transfer.
MAC Party Parrot is a bit lighter a more pink. MAC Vegas Volt is much lighter. Nars Heat Wave is much more orangey. It reminds me of MAC Ablaze but darker and more rich, and I totally forgot to swatch it. Sorry!
Overall, I'm in love with this lipstick! I'm not even sure if the texture should be like that because it was frozen when I got the package, but it's not that bad, really. This shade is gorgeous, it will be perfect for this summer!
The Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Crush retail for $32 CDN for 7.48g.
