St. Tropez Self Tan Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse

I love testing out new self tanners and if there's one brand that never disappoint me, it's St. Tropez! They launched a new bronzing mousse formula in 2014 and it's pretty cool! What's so special about this Express Bronzing Mousse, you may ask? Its formula allows you to choose your depth of tan : Shower after 1 hour for a light tan, leave on 2 hours for a medium tan, or wait 3 hours for a dark tan.

The Express Bronzing Mousse is very easy to apply, but I recommend to use gloves or an applicator mitt (like this one) because it will stain your hands even if you wash them carefully after the application. It has a light golden brown guide colour that allows you to see if you missed a spot during the application.

It dries fast, but it still feels sticky for about 2 hours. The good news is that you can wash it off  (with warm water, no soap) after 1, 2 or 3 hours so your skin is only sticky for a short period of time! I love the fact that I can apply it in the evening, rinse it off before going to bed and it won't stain my sheets.

It does have a slight biscuit scent after 2-3 hours, but it disappear completely after showering. By the way, your skin will be slightly darker but not really tan after showering, the colour will continue to develop for up to 8 hours so don't be afraid if you get out of the shower and think it didn't work!

The tan is even, natural-looking, and non-streaky! It fades beautifully without looking patchy and last up to 7-8 days on me, but I have to admit that I moisturizes my skin daily. Oh and I tried it on my face, it didn't break me out and the tan lasted a bit longer than usual.

I love this mousse, it's really awesome! I definitely prefer this one compared to the original St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse, because I can get a darker tan! I also tried the St. Tropez Dark Bronzing Mousse and while the Express Bronzing Mousse isn't as dark, I think I may prefer the Express formula because I can rinse it off in less than 3 hours and the guide colour is more wearable if I need to leave the house. 3 hours was darker than the original formula, but not as dark as the Dark Bronzing Mousse.

I don't recommend to leave it on for more than 3 hours unless you already have a medium skin tone! I tried it and it gave me a slightly darker tan, but it also had a hint of orange.
