The rose gold packaging is beyond beautiful, don't you agree? It comes with a double-ended brush too, and it's a pretty good brush by the way! On one end you have a blending brush, and on the other end there is a smudger brush!

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette Review

The formula is absolutely fantastic, the eyeshadows are super soft and silky! They never look patchy and the colors are ultra pigmented. And did I tell you how easy to blend these eyeshadows are? LOVE!

This palette is the basic for a successful makeup look. Even if you prefer bright or shimmery eyeshadows, you need some transition colors to blend everything to perfection. And nothing compares to a good matte eyeshadow to add some depth and dimension!

Urban Decay UD Naked Ultimate Basics Palette Holiday 2016 Review

Blow and Pre-Game are pretty on the brow bone, the first being a light beige with a luminous finish and the second a matte yellow beige.

I like to apply Nudie all over the lid, over an eyeshadow primer. It's a great trick if you have trouble blending your eyeshadows. They are easier to blend if you apply a bit of powder over your primer. Nudie is great for that because it doesn't add much color (on my skin tone).

Commando is barely noticeable on me, but it makes it the perfect shade to blend away any harsh edges! That being said, Nudie is also very similar to my skin tone so I can use that one for the same purpose as well. I kinda wish there was a light peach shade instead of Commando or Nudie, because they are a bit too similar for me.

Tempted, Distinct, Extra-Bitter, Lockout and Faith are great transition shades, depending on the eye look you want to achieve (warm or cool shades, light or dark eye makeup).

Lethal and Blackjack are awesome for adding depth to any eye look, or to create a soft cat eye. I like to apply them all over the lid too (with one of the transition shades in the crease) for a velvety matte smoky eye!
