Let's start with the blushes and highlighters!
I have so much love for the two blushes, I just can't get enough of these colors! They are nicely pigmented, but not too much! I haven't noticed any patchiness whatsoever and they wear well for more than 9 hours on me.
The shade Cheap Shot has a luminous finish, it's slightly shimmery but not too frosty. And Double Take has a satin finish, but it's pretty much matte on the cheeks.
Cheap Shot is a pinky mauve with a luminous finish.
Double Take is a peachy nude with a satin finish.
Low Key is a light golden peach with a shimmery finish.
Party Foul is a light champagne beige with a frosty finish.
The highlighters are buttery smooth and have a beautiful frosty finish, without any glitters or sparkles!
I love Party Foul, the color is gorgeous and it last all day on me. However, the shade Low Key is too densely packed and waxy, so it's hard to pick up the product with a brush. I wish this shade had the same formula and texture than Party Foul.
3 Sheets is a light pinky beige with a matte finish.
Bare is a peachy beige with a shimmery finish.
Curve is a soft pink with a shimmery finish and a few silver micro glitters.
Backtalk is a muted pink with a matte finish.
Shade is a plum magenta with a luminous finish.
Attitude is a copper red with a frosty finish.
WTF is a warm brown with a matte finish.
180 is a chocolate brown with a luminous finish.
Now the sad part is that the eyeshadows are a bit disappointing. I find that the quality isn't on par with other Urban Decay palettes! They are nicely pigmented but they are sheer, Urban Decay's eyeshadows are usually more pigmented and opaque than that. As you can see on this photo, the colors are lighter on the skin too.
Also, the formula is less blendable than usual and some colors can look patchy on the lids (especially Backtalk and 180). I wouldn't say that it's a horrible palette, I was able to create a bunch of pretty looks with it, but the formula is more difficult to work with in comparison to other Urban Decay eyeshadows.
If you prefer a soft look, then maybe this palette will be a nice addition to your makeup collection, but I highly suggest to try it in store first!
The Urban Decay Backtalk Eye & Face Palette retails for $59 CAD for 27.2g (8 x 1.4g and 4 x 4g) and is available at Sephora.
