The formula of these eyeshadows is different than other ABH eyeshadows, in a good way. The mattes are sooo silky smooth and the metallic shades are super buttery compared to the original ABH single eyeshadows!
Most of the shades are highly pigmented as well, even without a primer. The only shade that was a bit too sheer for my liking (without a primer) was Claudia, but I always use an eyeshadow primer now that I'm in my thirties so that's not a problem for me.
They blend beautifully, and the matte eyeshadows never look patchy. They tend to kick up quite a bit of powder though, so be careful and use a light hand when you dip your brush into it.
By the way, most of the shades are warm-toned. My skin tone is equivalent to NC30 at the moment so if your skin is lighter than that, the shades will look warmer on you than what you see in the photos below. Not that it's a bad thing, but if you prefer cool-toned shades then this palette may not be a good choice for you.
I'm so pleased with this purchase, hands down my favorite ABH eyeshadow palette!
