In my opinion, the Brow Perfectors have the perfect consistency! The formula is on the dry side but it's exactly what I want for a brow pencil, as creamy and greasy formulas tend to smudge more and look less natural. It's not too dry though, and doesn't tug on the skin too much.
Left to right : Calimyrna, Moanda, Komo and Näia
I'm very picky with what I use on my brows, they are very sparse so I like to draw tiny hair-like strokes to mimic the appearance of hairs. Sometimes I use a brow pencil if I'm in a hurry, but more often than not I use a brow pomade (my favorite is NARS' Brow Defining Cream) and apply it with an angled brush.
The problem I have with brow pencils (even if the tip is very small), is that the tip gets dull very quickly. And it happens with this one too. But out of all the brow pencils I've tried, the Brow Perfector gives me the most natural looking brows!
These pencils are slightly less pigmented than my other brow pencils, but again, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some of us prefer a soft eyebrow look and tend to stay away from ultra pigmented brow products. If that's your case, you're going to LOVE the Brow Perfectors! The color is buildable, and I think that's the reason why this product looks so natural.
Is it my favorite brow product? No, but only because my brows are very thin and pomades look much better on me. It's one of the best brow pencils I've tried, though!
Calimyrna is a blonde with warm undertones.
Moanda is a auburn with warm undertones.
Komo is a medium brown with warm undertones.
Näia is a medium brown with cool undertones.
The NARS Brow Perfectors retail for $31 CAD for 0.1g and are available at Nordstrom, narscosmetics.com, Harvey Nichols, Feelunique and Seldfridges.

ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThese look like my kind of brow product! I have fairly sparse brows too but I always find brow pomades take me longer to apply than a brow pencil! I'll have to check these out.
ReplyDeleteYeah brow pomades are more time-consuming, let me know if you try the pencils!
